I've had a 20 gallon Summit fuel cell for a few years now. It was brand new and never had been wet. I plummed the Edelbrock EFI all up and got most of it wired. Last night I was turning the key on and off and the pump was running. But I never got any pressure up front. After several times I took the feed hose off up front and it didn't smell like gas or was it damp. The pump was loud. I've heard of this stuff coming apart. I've had about 5 gallons of gas in for about a week.

I guess I'm going in tonight and see what's up. I bought a new filter. I'm seriously considering removing the foam even if its not the problem. Wouldn't be much different than a stock tank I wouldn't think.

i know it sounds stupied but are you sure it was gas and not water ( condendsation ) aluminum likes to disapate heat a little better than plastic if you didnt have it sealed while you where down it could have gotten some air trapped in there id say flush your lines like venturesomerite said and the drain your fuel pump, tank, filter etc.... and start over

Update. Me and dad worked on her for a few hours this evening. Tried the same things as the other day. nothing. Took the pump, filter, etc off and everything looked good. Plenty of gas coming out, clear as a bell. Foam is in great shape.

Tried the pump off the car. Worked great. Put it back on and hooked all the stuff back up, nothing. Took most of it back apart and tried it. nothing.

Checked the polarity and guess what, the orange wire thats supposed to be hot was negative and the black was positive. Edelbrock got the plug backwards:mad:. Pump had been running backwards. Put it back together and it works awsome:).

Live and learn. My foam is coming out soon though.
