I am fabricating new front leaf spring mounts on my 71 and was wondering if the bolt hole is back an inch from the stock ones location would be ok? thanks
its not that i want to move them. I bought weld in subframe connectors and i cut the mount off and am using that. mocking it up the bolt hole sits back an inch from the original. I could piece in an inch but i would rather not if i didnt have to as long as it will be ok.
Trouble is everything else will be affected, like the drive shaft will be too short, and the shocks will sit back on an angle. I'm not sure it will be worth the trouble in the end.
I am moving the shocks to the inside to gain a little tire clearance and I am also getting a new drive shaft. The rear shackle hangers are longer than the originals so with that being said what other issues if any would I run into?
