I have a 68 that was pkurchased alredy disassmbled. I just received my assembly manual today and noticed I am missing the grill reinforcement bar that goes on top of the grill. I was wondering if anyone knows if it can be eliminated or is it a must or can things be bolted on without it. Thanks

Welcome to the site,if you mean the steel piece that is riveted to the grill from the underside I think you get away with out it.I just looked at mine (69)and I don't see any major reason that you would but it will look odd everything bolts to that and grill together, the grill will be weak without it.
