I took out the heater, blower motor etc...and cover, now i've got a big hole that goes through to the inside of the car and is covered on the inside by the ....blower motor plastic housing, has anyone eliminated all of this and if so did you just use sheet metal/aluminum and pop rivet/weld close the firewall or what? pics would be cool, from inside the car too, thanks

I've used many methods to block these off. You can use aluminium applied to the inside of the firewall with rivets. Use a little elbow grease to polish the aluminium and it looks pretty good. On my new car that is still under construction I used metal to cover the whole area and tack welded it inside so it has a flat panel covering the whole area up to the body seam. You can see photos on my web site under the T/S project if you want http://www.hotrodder.com/realmccoy/
If you plan to use NOS on this car I suggest metal rather than aluminium so if you have a fire it won't melt allowing fire into the car. RM
