I just purchased a replacement (original) fender for my 64. The replacement is from a 65 so it has holes from the trim piece. My question is: Can I use filler to fix these or should I find someone that can mig weld it for me, or something else? Any advice is appreciated.

Depends on what level of quality you want for the car. If your not planning on keeping the car to long then go the budget route and just have the holes filled with plastic filler but if it were me I would have them welded. This is the prefered way since this way you won't have to worry about the filler falling out of the hole.
