I am installing an electric water pump. I have a Modern Classic Performance Alternator bracket the puts the alternator on the lower drivers side of the block. I am looking for, obviously a shorter belt the goes from the damper to the alternator. Does anyone have a make and number.

Not sure if this helps, but when I went to run a SBC on a test stand, without a alternator, I found a belt at the store that fit perfect from the crank pulley to the WP pulley. When I installed the engine in the car and looked up the belt number for the power steering , it was the one I had sized up for the test stand run?

So, start with a power steering belt ?

Tie a rope around the pulleys and then go to the store and ask them to measure it.
