Anyone have an idea what this shifter is for? My neighbor sold it to me to use in my '63, but it has the factory ends that take the rubber bushings. I plan to rebuild and use my Hurst Super Shifter, but I may use the lever from this shifter. It has 08108310 stamped on the side opposite the Hurst Competition Plus text and patent number.

Sorry the 08108310 is stamped on the same side as the Hurst Competition Plus text.

I've been up and down Hurst's site. This shifter was installed from the factory on something. What's throwing me off is the arm holes that take the rubber inserts. I'm not sure when they started using the rubber inserts. it might be from a Camaro/Firebird. I'll keep looking, but hopefully someone knows off the top of their head.
