So I searched the forum already and have not yet found the answer im trying for. I need to re-key my 2d hardtop 62. I have the keys, mind you...but my buddy who had my extra set mailed them to me in just a paper envelope with some other stuff. The envelope arrived to my address... but no key. I could assume they just fell out....but the corner of the envelope with a convenient tear also tells me someone got the keys and knows the address.

So...easiest way to re-key? Can a locksmith re-do the Ignition cylinder, 2 doors and the trunk? not really worried about the glovebox

Never had to do this so just curious

I bought a complete key assembly with 2 coded keys for my 68 from my local Chevy dealer.

I copied this from my notes:

Jul 13, 2016 – Replaced complete ignition switch with AC Delco; Key cylinder with tumblers and 2 keys, part # 01154163; Key switch #12322801

Very easy to install as my 68 key is in dash, like those in lst gen cars.
