putting the engine back in my 67 next week, just wondering if anyone has put in a 700r4 at the same time attached to the motor,or is it better to put the trans in seperately....any thoughts...thanks
I am hoping to install motor and trans as a unit within a couple weeks. Figured I bolt up the trans while the motor is hanging from the lift, probably somewhat supported on some milk crates or something.
You can do both together. Raise the car up alittle bit so you have room for the trans to slide in and use a floor jack or egg crate if it will slide easily.
:yes:i would reccomend installing both together, heavier lifting ,but less headaches.
you may need to raise the weight up a little high ,i would suggest you roll the car under the hoist so as not to risk it toppling over!
