Hi Everyone

Need some help.

I got the following number from the id plate on front of the block in my Nova. It is not original this much I know.

V(hard to read) 0520SFA

I have searched the sites google brings up for engine identification and have not found any listing of the SFA suffix. I found one thread by a guy who found a 1987 Caprice police car in a bone yard and it had the same suffix.

This engine does have the oil cooler provision on the filter mounting.

Does anyone have an idea to what this block is?

Thank you in advance.

think I answered my own question
found a site called limebook

listed SFA as a 1987-88 350 AT, 4bbl, Police car application.

If anyone has same info I would appreciate a second opinion.

thanks
