Engine compartment

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, so please redirect if needed...

I want to solicit ideas on how to go about cleaning up an engine compartment. And I'm not just talking about de-greasing and painting. What I mean is strategies on hiding/rerouting wiring, and moving things around to have the cleanest-appearing engine compartment as possible.

I will be retaining A/C, power steering, and power brakes. Also, this will be an LS engine, so there are electronics to consider.

This will be a driver and not a show car, so I'm not looking for perfection. But I would like to have that "wow" factor when I open up the hood.

Route most if not all the wiring underneath the gaps between the front fenders and wheel wells.

The wiring for your motor, you could hide it in this tubing:

I'm pretty sure if that you look in the LS or LSX section, there's bound to be someone whom has already done this and you can get your ideas there..
