On the pad is V1007CNR, nothing on the rear flange, but on the pass side is 9-K-1. Is this for a 1970 model? I'm not sure how to decipher the assembly date code. Thanks!

V flint cast CNR L -48 350 1970,the 9 K 1 is Oct (k) 1st 69 when cast, when machined was stamped V 1007( Flint-Oct 7th ) CNR. Right for 1970, please chime in if I am wrong in this break down John

I had read somewheres that GM didn't use the letter I in their casting date and I didn't know how to decipher the V1007 code? I wasn't sure if K stood for Oct or Nov, but with the assembly date explained, I'd say you're right. Thanks, again!
