Can anyone tell me if you unhook the battery is it normal to have to recalibrate the speedo? I have an autometer electric speedo. Thanks.

No, I do not believe that is normal.

I have used 4-5 electrical powered speedometers in the past, and now have one on my 49.

I just put in a master cutoff switch for the battery, and it did not affect the speedometer.
