Done a google search a 65C 18416 N it is a aftermarket gas cap. It may be NOS but not GM. Another Tiawan part that can be bought from any repop vendor for 25 bucks being passed off as GM. It's obvious looking at the backside of the cap it's not a GM part.

The 65C 18416 N gas cap can be bought anywhere for 25 bucks. E Bay seller is representing the cap as NOS GM.

Dead give away is when viewing the cap from the backside where the pins come the body of the cap the holes should be rectangle, the cap listed the holes are oblong. Second is the box in listing is what caught my attention, it's an not a GM box. The box listed in the picture is for a repop cap.

Screw is different too. Repro is a combination slotted/phillips while NOS is just phillips.

The point is the seller is descibing it as NOS when actually its a reproduction.

Nah I'm trying to do as much original chrome as I can so to me it matters

Seller is busted, I waited until the buyer left the seller feedback, seller didnt realize he had been boned. After a few e mails with the buyer he is now filing a claim agaist the seller for misrepresnting the cap. Seller knew what he was selling wasnt NOS.

That reproduction stuff is ****ty chrome I have a two year old on the driver Nova and it looks like its 45 years old they rust rather quickly ........

that is a reproduction cap poor sucka bought it too...misrepresented parts!
