has anybody ever used a dui distributor? i ordered one the other day. i just like the way they set up the distributor to your specs. bought a msd street fire and had nothing but trouble with getting it set up. might as well try something different.

I had one in a Jeep 258 and was very happy with it. Pricey but delivered true performance. I'd consdier another one if I was in the market.

price over messing around for a few hours to get a base setting is o.k. by me. you get what you pay for. and i hate buying a part just cause it is cheap and screws you in the long haul.

I checked out one of those street fire distributors at Advance awhile back and wasn't impressed-looked similar to the Pro-comp junk we tried in my Son's car. A friend of mine ran a DUI years ago and never had any problems. Do know though that their guess at what your combo likes for an advance curve is only a guess. Make sure to get a paper copy of the installed curve from them and suggestions on base timing and a selection of springs for fine tuning. There's many things that factor into what curve works best for your combo.
