TomM has this setup and had to tweek something in the linkage if I remember correctly.
I hope someone has a solution. I am going to mount an under dash wiper system along with my vintage air that still needs installation in my 63.
DSE did it, not sure where the issue is. Getting ready to install the wiper system in my 67, already has v/a
how about calling DSE? See what they say.
I moved the VA unit down about an inch and a half to clear the rod hitting the rear duct. Really didn't feel like re inventing a new rod, but it shouldn't be an issue either way.

My whole VA install is custom all the way, as I ran my lines out the passenger fender.....you may be better off tweaking the rod.....

T,
I fiddel farted with it and got it to clear Bareley. Droped the box down a little and spaced the left side out further. Called DSE and they said there is a clearence issue. They are changing the end vents on the box and moving it over and runing bulkheads. They said they are going to update there web site and let people know it inerfers with the a/c. Did not epect to have a fittment issue with DSE products but I guess they want to be like everyone else. It's an easy BOLT IN with no mods. BS
We did a tech install of the DSE system on our 65 Nova w/stock heater box and had to make a new spacer from the defroster to firewall to clear the wiper arm. Wasn't a big deal, and still love the DSE wipers. I will try to post the install on SNS

Adding a VA system with an LS conversion over the winter, so will document any of the issues btwn the two. Like Tom's install we will be modifying some of the VA components for our install, but will definitely look at the fitment issues.
My problem is if they know it wont fit wjy not say so.,

Didn't they tell you they were going to update their instructions and website? DSE's products are top notch and engineered to fit. It looks like a minor problem and seems like hot rodding to me. The amount of parts out there that are supposed to be bolt on and are not is staggering.

Yes, But if they know there is a problem why havent they done it yet

Yes, They have nice stuff. That's why I bought it

And now DSE has joined that group.

I had a fabricator budy come over and look at it. He smoked it over and he made a new rod from the motor to the wipers. Took him about 20 min. A/c is were vintage air wants it and every thing clears great. You would think DSE could come up with that idea. It's all good now. Would I buy frome DSE again Yes because they have great customer support and nice products.
