Is there ANY way to beef up/make more safe the front drum brakes in my '63? Would like to go disc, but 15" kit won't accommodate the 13" wheels and covers.
you could upgrade to a '64 brake set up. it'd be a 5 lugger so wheels would still be needed, same size just different pattern. the '64 - up used a wider shoe front & rear... all 5 luggers though.
