my '66 sedan is a stock suspension bracket car. it runs 7.40's in the 1/8 and works really well on stock suspension. 8.5" slicks, stock drum brakes work well. i would like to drop the car 2" for a better look, but cant find a drop spindle that takes the factory drum brake. if i bite the bullet and go disc brakes for the sake of dropping my car, what is the best kit for drag racing? any info would be helpful. thanks!

race car only rotors are solid (non vented) Wilwood ,Baer , strange engineering Weight will be one factor in choosing 2-4 piston calipers. you will have to have a disc spindle though. good luck

If your drag racing don't you think you need to make sure you stop. I would bite the bullet and buy some disc brakes. For your safety and everyone else's safety too.

The car has always stopped on a dime at the stripe when I needed to. It may run some 6.80's this year so I guess disc brakes would help. What are some of uyour drag race spindle/brake setups?
