Anyone ever try to remove the external voltage regulator after converting to a one wire alternator? I tried yesterday and when I opened the drivers side door the horn went off! Doesn't make sense 'cause I already eliminated the 2 wires that went to the old alternator. It should just be a dead end to the circuit. I plugged the regulator back in and had no issue. Is it OK to have both internal and external voltage regulators at once?
