Hey Everyone , Whenever I have the lights on and I hit the dimmer switch (on floor ) for brights the lights go off, when I hit it again the lights come back on. Thanks for the help

Are you sure it's the switch?
Maybe you need new headlight bulbs.

Sounds like a bad connection on the switch or a bad dimmer switch. It would not be real likely that both headlights would burn out on the same beam at the same time.

Thanks Everyone, I put a new dimmer switch in last year , of course it could still be bad. Hey 60 deg. in Mi. today , can't wait to start the new season.

I had the same problem. It ended up being a bad switch.

It's the switch.Always was every time I came across that in any car or truck that has floor dimmer switches.

Yes I agree the switch is the more likely answer, just providing another possibility.

Yes..the color is House of Kolor Candy Brandywine over Gamma Gold...

Had the very same problem on the 76 I just acquired.

Turned out to be a bad connection at the switch, the switch was fine.
