Anyone happen to know the rough dimensions of an automatic floor shift center console for a 65?

i can get the measurements of the auto console in my 66. i think the only difference is the front nose of the 65 to the 66.

That would be great! Mainly I’m looking at width between the seats.

its 10'' between the buckets. console at widest is 7 3/4'' . an there is like 2 1/2'' between seat an console. an the console measures 32 1/2'' long. hope this helps you. now this is on a 66 not a 65.

I appreciate it very much. I’m trying to decide on a custom console from classic truck consoles or build my own.

The 65 console is an inch or so longer in the front than a 66-67 console. Why they shortened, I don't know - maybe the dash is further back on a 66-67. But a 65 console does fit in a 66-67, just barely (I have one in my 67).

The dash sits lower on a 2nd gen and the A/C evap unit would not fit on an SS car with console (it's tight even with all the correct parts).

Yes, the '65 SS console is only a problem on '66 and '67 super sports with a/c. I've seen several non a/c 2nd generation cars with the '65 console.
