Hey guys, I'm looking for a local shop that can rechrome my bumpers and trim. I'm in the Denver area. Thanks for any leads! I've tried Google but was without success.

Is Ajax Plating still in business? When I worked in the plating business 30 years ago, they were one of the other Western Region companies that I think was based in Denver providing chrome plating services.
I think Ajax still in business but not like it used to be. I stopped in there a few years ago and he said that the EPA and such basically made it impossible to continue in chroming. They restore brass for antiques and stuff like that now.

I have heard good things about Denver Bumpers quality for steel items. I had an original Hurst handle done there and it was great. Its not free for sure, but I kind of understand that their overhead is probably high and there just arent too many places anymore that do it. They are at I-25 and 8th Avenue. I live up in Fort Collins and after spending some time talking to people I have found out that a lot of places in Colorado say they can rechrome your bumpers but they just send them to Denver Bumper and then mark it up.

Quality Plating out in Yuma, CO is one of only a handful of places in the western US that still restores and chromes potmetal. Its a small place with the owner and his helper. People send him stuff from all over the world. 970-630-1310. I had my 63 SS dash pieces done there. Very happy.

I have used Sherm's custom plating in Sacramento for a couple of vehicles. Awesome work, very pricey......
