After four years of storage, I decided my break away from the Nova was over, so I called up Hagerty for some insurance and took it out for a spin. I stupidly parked it with a half a tank of 100 octane in it, but the car fires up and idles fine, so I decided to just add a little fresh gas and burn it up. I did change the oils though.

After the flat spots in the tires went away, it was a fun drive. I only romped on it a couple times and won't wind it up until I burn up that old gas to avoid any detonation.

The only casualty was the speedometer, which decided to quit working. Most likely a broken cable since there is no trans fluid pouring out from under the car. Not a big deal since it read way too fast anyway.

A buddy and I are going to cruise our cars out to a car show this Saturday. Its about 40 miles round trip, so wish me luck.

John.

I felt that way after one year of no ride, glad to hear it fired right up with no trouble.
