Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought only the M-22 was considered the "rock crusher" because of the distinct whine it made using straight cut gears. I think the M-21 is just a close ratio Muncie and the M-20 is a wide ratio
Yes. That is how I understand it too. In a light-weight car such as a nova, that doesn't see major strip time the m-20 should be ideal. That is what I got.

I believe it should be the same length at the Powerglide, 3 speed or short tailshaft TH350.

Pretty EZ to measure the distance between the engine block and bolts for trans mount to double check though.

But I'll bet you already knew that, didn't you.
