sorry aout that my computer freaked out mid post and i guess that was the result. heres what i meant to say. i just found these motors on ebay. they are both circa 400hp 350s with what looks like pretty good parts in them. they are also going for excellant prices. i was just wondering whether anyone had any ideas on whether it sounds too good to be true or a good deal. which one looks like a better deal? skeptics fee free to hime in any input would be appreciated.thanks in advance!

I'm not really a fan of the crate motor craze, but if I had to choose I like the first one better. Seems like they spell out the parts better. You still have to remember, when it comes to an engine you get what you pay for. I would think for 3 grand you could build yourself a nice starting point that will allow you to work on it later. With a crate engine they normally put parts in that can handle the intended output, but when you start trying to push more out of the engine through mods you end up having to upgrade otherthings to handle the power. If you build it you can build the bottom to handle any future mods you want to do in the future. I'm building one right now but going with an 8.5 CR since I plan on supercharging it in the future. It will be a little of a dog until I get the supercharger, but it will have more than enough power for the street.

I picked my 327 up from these guys last year about this time.
I have been beating on it for about a year now, no problems.
Picked it up because I do not want to build an engine myself. It as been too long since I did that and my ride will just be a cruiser that will never see the track.
