I have a question on replacing my stock hood with a Cowl hood. I'm putting in my 1969 Nova a 496 BBC, with air gap intake Holley carb & 2"-3" tall air cleaner assembly. I know it won't clear my stock hood, but does any one know if it will clear a 2" Cowl hood? I would like to stick with a 2" steel if at all possible. Thanks!!

I'm no expert but my 502 w/edlebrock intake, douple pumper, and air cleaner fits fine with the 2inch from jw nova parts....really if u buy from yearone i think it's actually a 2.75inch cowl hood.

Yep, it fits fine. I had a RPM intake with a 14x3 dropped base air cleaner under a Goodmark 2 inch cowl hood with my 427. Plenty of room.
