I am looking to replace the steering box in my 1970 Nova with a Jeep Grand Cherokee steering box. In the process I figure I may as well replace the pitman arm. Looking at all the websites they list the correct steering arm for third gen Novas as Moog k6582... if you had a V8 stock. My car had a 250ci I6 stock and from what I can tell original power steering (this car has always been a Frankenstein so I have no real idea what it originally was). The 250 engine has Moog K6151 listed as the replacement. Does anyone know the difference?

Edit, K6151 is listed as measuring 5.250in and K6582 is listed as 5.780in. I still don't know which would be correct for my application. Both applications are listed as having the same idler arm... which seems unintuitive. I guess its time to get out the measuring tape. Reading Pozzi's site it seems that they are interchangeable? and the longer K6582 just gives a faster ratio?

I have the Moog replacement idler installed already and the car is aligned well enough. But yah I'll dive under and check it out. I'd imagine the longer arm probably gives a heavier feel and faster ratio, and more steering angle. I think the stops on the Jeep box will really determine which arm is better. If I need less throw I can use the shorter arm, and vice versa.
