I have a used 4000 stall convertor lying in the shop. Is there any way to check it while it's out. I have a new t400 and don't want to mess it up with a junk convertor. I ran this conv. last year and had trans problems but I ended up with a cracked case. Not sure if the conv. had issues or not.

It's an old trans king convertor. It sat in my garage brand new for about 10 years before I started using it 2 years ago. I think they are out of business now.

As long as you didnt granade the tranny and get metal through it and it had been covered up it should be fine. If there is any fluid in it drain some out on a with cloth or paper towl and check for metalic in the fluid. If you find metal in it i would recomend you have it flushed, if not..... Run it!
