I need a converter recommendation for my nova as the transmission is due for a rebuild!

Here is my setup:

350 with 10.5 compression
professionally ported polished Vortec Heads
Comp 294S solid cam Crane Gold 1.5 Roller Rockers,
RPM Air Gap Intake
Holley 750 Street Strip Carb,
Full MSD Ignition,
Hooker Super Comp Fenderwell Headers
350TH with a ******* 9.5 in 3000 stall converter.
10 bolt with 4.11 gears

I'm debating about whether to stay with a 3000 stall or go up to a 3500 stall. I cruise my nova much more than race it so I want something that is friendly on the street. I'm not sure which company to buy a converter from because there different converter companies out there.

I recommend going with a custom built converter spec'ed for your combo (rather than an "off the shelf" unit... but "custom" doesn't have to mean expensive).
I am using an Edge Racing "Street Edge" converter w/2800-3000 rpm stall that was custom built for my car (I run a 2004R with 500+HP/TQ) and couldn't be happier. It feels nice and tight from normal start and cruising... but you know the stall is there when you mash the gas.
I highly recommend giving this company a call to discuss your car specs & goals.
