Hey there. Thought this would be a good topic. It might already exist on here but I was having trouble finding information on it.

I have a 1970 Acadian with a 350 and a 2 speed powerglide

Would anyone be willing to help me out, if I was going to do a swap from an auto trans to a 4 speed.

What would you need to know?
What would you need to buy?
Specific type of Transmission?
It might be something I'm considering doing and would like some knowledge on the process to complete the swap.

Welcome aboard, if you look in drivetrain and performance their are 2 threads on changing to a 4 speed.

Here is a list of parts you will need
1 . clutch pedal assembly
2 . flywheel for standard trans
3.crossmember for trans and mount
4 . trans+bell house and clutch fork+spring assembly
5.clutch assembly
6.shifter
7.find out if engine is internal or external balance then buy correct flywheel
8 . drive shaft for new transmission
9 . Enjoy
