OK, got a column shift column and have the lever removed. Does anybody make the collar part to turn it into a floor shift? Tia

Not that I know of, most folk grind the tab off, fill and paint or change the column.

I take it that you have already installed the floor shifter, and are looking for a collar that doesn't have the column shift? I have looked into this in the past, and the best I've found were projects people did on Ebay. I've heard a '68 Camaro with Tilt is the best of both worlds. You may want to look into those.

Grind & fill it. I used JB weld as the initial plug for the hole, then finished it with body filler.

Use good sealer, primer and a semi gloss top coat.

Yes, floor shifter already in. When I did my chevelle, I did the tab cut and filled but didn't turn out well. Plus the collar rotates still. Guess a replacement is in order.

i too modified the shift collar... i also left the neutral safety switch installed... once the car is in park i turn the collar to a "geared" position and even though it won't change gears the NS switch is now engaged and i had an El-Cheapo theft deterrent...
