Interesting question! So I started googling and it seems to be tied to the French origin of Louis Chevrolet. Here is something from the Vette guys but I think would apply here also. A lot of Chevy emblems have these Feur-de-lis symbols in them.

Thank you, I never gave them a thought before the other day my son in law, he works in car detailing for Toyota over here, asked how come the grill emblem is upside down, I never noticed it or even knew there were clovers *lilies there :)

How about we Chevy II Nova people adopt the wave that the Corvette owners have been using and the motor cycle community have also had a hand in as well.. I see older cars on the road I some times give the wave in recognition of the choice to run a classic car rather then a modern car.. Some times you pull up next to some one or vice verses they pull up next to you and are looking your car over as they haven't seen one in a while. I give them the wave too.. :yes:
