got a triplepass l79 rad. and factory shroud for my 63 project,the problem is the rad.support holes are 23.5 inchs across and the rad bolt holes are 24 11/16 across,should i fit the mech.fan to the shroud or go off the holes that are on the stock rad. support,next question is how much clearence should i have from the fan around the shroud ,iam just glad i checked this before the front clip gets painted:yes:anyone done this swap? i was running a 65 ac rad. with a 66 rad. spacer with no shroud.can any 66/67 owners give me a measurement on the rad.support bolt holes for the rad.mounting holes

Lose the spacer and mount the new radiator center you will drill new holes JM

Hey Don......

I just swapped mine over to mechanical and the car is at Kens. If you are close enough youre more than welcome to go ck and measure mine up or whatever you need to see what direction you need to go. The setup seems to move a lot more air than the dual electric fans did and as far as clearance around the fan to radiator shroud, At the closest point, I can barely fit a finger so Id say a half inch or less.

adam,iam going over to kens shop tomarrow to drop off my front frame setup,what size fan are you running?you bet i will be righting down the mounting numbers,still trying to find the lower hose with the spring in it,orig style hose is what iam after

If I remember correctly there is a molded lower hose for an early Mustang that works well on our Novas.
