My 2dr 1974 Nova Custom came with the door hinges that are welded on. I'm in the process of replacing them with bolt on door hinges. Has anyone ever done this before?
I have a cutting torch and grinders that I'm planning on using to remove the hinges from both the doors and the body. I'd welcome any comments or suggestions, especially the " watch out for this-n-that". All in all, it seems rather straight forward.
I have the doors off and the car body is stripped right down to the sheet metal. I have noticed that the hinges on the inside of the body do have bumps in spots where I think the welds were placed from the factory - seems like a logical place to drill my holes if they line up with the holes on the replacement hinges.
