I changed out my cam, intake, carb and put gear drive in over past 2 weekends. I have a small oil leak that I have to fix from the oil pan that I will get taken care of this week. My only down fall of the engine is the heads, but in time I will change them out as well. Here is my setup as of right now.

Lift: .536/.558
Adv. Duration: 312/322
Duration @ .050": 254/264
Lobe Center: 114
Cat gear drive
1.5 Crane roller rockers
Professional Products Hurricane Intake
750 Speed Demon carb
10.5:1 pistons
Junk 882 heads with 1.94/ 1.60 valves
M21 4 speed with 4.10 rear gears

It seems to run very strong. I took it up the road and back then found the oil leak so parked it. I don't have it fine tuned yet. But it is a good starting point.

It sounds good though it seems like a lot of cam for heads that probably run out of gas at about .480 lift, but what do I know.

Seems like a lot of cam for the heads--how big is the engine?
I wouldn't have gone with a gear drive, but it's not my car.

It is just a little 355. Yes I know the heads are going to kill it. I am working on trying to get another set as soon as I can. Some people like the gear drives and some don't. I wanted one so I got one. LOL
