I have a 327 large journal. bored .30 over. with Headers and a eddy performer intake..and eddy 600 cfm carb.Everything else is stock..what would be the biggest carb that would be more efficent The 600 gets great gas mileage and the engine's very strong. Just wondering if I'd gain HP with a bigger carb....Thanks

My Son's 327 runs fairly strong for a little engine, 268 solid cam, airgap, 10.1-1 compression. We've tried a few different Holleys on it, 750 vacume secondary, 600 vacume, 600 double pumper, and a 650 double pumper. The 650 was the best at higher rpm but the 600 double pumper provided the best throttle response and midrange-it is crisp! I like the double pumpers when they're set up right.

A properly done Q-Jet will make more power than the Edelbrock, and get better mileage than either a Holley or Edel.
