I have a 350-300hp crate motor with only headers, alum. intake and a 700cfm Holley carb. on it. At cruising speed it has a small miss almost like a surge. If I accelerate it goes away. I am thinking spark plugs, but also wondering if the primary jets that are stock size may be a little to large for the motor. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks Chris

check the float level first. If its okay then check to see how much vacuum the engine is pulling in drive at idle. This will dictate what size power valve you need. Sometimes not always you can get a surge from that also if the jetting is lean. Try going up 2 jet sizes and see if that helps. Also where is the timing at while cruising? is the vacuum advance hooked up? just curious. too much timing at cruise can cause a miss.
