I've just about got all the bugs worked out of the big block with the exception of the carb.
I'm running a Holley 750 DP.....problem is shutting engine off and engine will diesel on me.
We've lube up the fast idle cam (seemed to work first go around), idle is set correclty but it's acting up again.
Any ideas or suggestions here........

Your throttle blades are probably open too far. What's your idle speed?

Paul, I'm idling at about 800 rpms.
Could the fast idle cam sticking cause this?
Thanks for reply.

Run- on

If your cam is too wild you'll have to be on your main circuit before the car will idle correctly. I had to drill a 1/8" hole in each primary throttle blade to get my car to idle within the idle circuit. If you can idle at 800 rpm, I'll step out on a limb and say you have a fairly mild cam? An easy way to tell if you are above your transfers(main blades open too far) is to screw in you idle screws. If the car still runs then obviously your idle system is not even being used.:) Also check your initial timing, too much will cause the same run-on. Just some suggestions..........:)
