I need to clean a Holley carb and the fuel bowl and metering blocks have a white residue on them. It seems like calcium. Is there a way to clean them or do they have to be glass bead blasted. It may be water damage?

I don't know the history of the carb, but I think the corrosion is from water not E fuel. I still would like to know a good way to clean it.

If it’s a new Holley, I remember reading awhile back that they had a problem with the plating and corrected the problem. Are you using E-10 fuel, that can also cause this.

E- fuel is likely the problem, buy a good carb cleaner
