Hi there, hope you all are well!
chevy 350 block, edlebrock peformer intake, holly 600cfm double pumper 4 barrell.
My problem is, my car had a loping idle and I always thought it was a cam. I found out later that I had a vacuum leak. The mechanic sprayed some brake fluid around the base of the carburator and it started revving up considerably. So he tuned it the best he could on short notice.
So I replaced the gasket today and the sucker wont start now. It fires for a minute and revs up, but dies right away. Also I have to keep putting flames out that come out of the top of the carb. WTF! I tightned the bolts as tight as I feel comfortable without stripping them....
I hear it's timing, but I need a few other opinions.
Anybody know??
Thanks in advance,
Kevin
