Canadian L79

This Canadian built L79 is for sale again, or maybe still. This car has had many owners in the last 10 years, none of whom seemed to be happy with it. It was definitely born an L79 per GM Canada documentation and the cowl tag. Original engine and tranny are gone and one of the previous owners told me there are issues with the current paint job. The original color was Madiera Maroon.

I CAN'T FIGURE WHY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS DIDN'T LIKE IT, I LOVE IT! PAINT CAN BE FIXED EASILY, AND ANY OTHER ISSUES CAN BE ADDRESSED.ANYBODY THAT BOUGHT A MOSTLY DONE CAR (THIS CAR) HAS GOTTA BE LAZY AND DON'T WANNA PUT THE WORK IN TO GET IT THE WAY THEY WANT IT!

When it was initially for sale in Canada it was misrepresented as a numbers matching L79. It was over priced then and several other times after that. The value in L79s is in originality and numbers matching components. You really have to look at this car as just a non numbers 1966 Nova SS with a 327 and 4 speed. Add a good paint job to $37,500 and you've out distanced it's value by a considerable distance.

I've never seen a seller state I'm selling it because I bought a better one

Must be nice to be able to pick and choose your L79s, huh:). Did you notice the L79 is coded on the cowl tag? My Canadian L79 was cowl tag coded, too, but not all of them were. Just the inconsistency of GM in the 60's, I guess.

Yeah it must be nice but also how bad do you want to sale it if your bad talking it. I wouldn't pay good money for a car that's advertised as I bought a better one. To me it makes it sound like I bought a better one so I'll unload the inferior one here.
Nice car but a lot of coin!

I think better car means number matching, unlike the one he is selling. I understand what you are saying.
