Do you guys align your cam bearings when you install them. I have heard mixed opinions on the matter. Some swear by aligning them with the bottom holes (through the mains)... Other say it doesn't matter at all.
Personally for the time it takes I would align them..BUT with that said I dont believe it is super important you do that as the cam bearings saddles(not sure what else to call them) are grooved all the way around so no matter where the hole in the cam bearing itself is it will line up with the grove in the saddle and the cam will be lubed...I think this was disscussed before and that is what a few of the machinist types on the board said..
Small block chevy's have an oil groove machined in the block so if the holes don't line up they still oil. Other blocks linning up the holes is a must.
