It was a Mustang II style rack and pinion. I just removed it and went with a quick ratio power box (2-1/2 turns) I have the rack setup available if anyone is interested. It does require welding to use.

I thought about it. By the time I paid to ship them to me, they'd be the cost of a new set. 😭

 

I was thinking about how well my car hooks with Caltracs They are like ladder bars for leaf springs.

 

I used to run 1.35-1.37 60 foot times with slapper bars and 4 different shocks on a 9" E.T. Street tire. It took a long time to get back in the 1.3's with CalTracs on a 10.5 slick
, but they are more consistent. My best ever 1.33 was on a 295/55/15 M/T Drag Radial, but they were never consistent. The next pass might have been a 1.84! The photo is over 20 years ago with slapper bars and little tires. I think in this photo there is NO passenger side front shock--not sure where it went.
