Anybody ever make your own bushings to go between the stock spring plates for lowering blocks?

My lower plate bent when I installed my multi leaf springs & 1" blocks.

I am planning on cutting some bushings to fit between the plates to 1) apply adequate pressure on the leafs and the block and 2) achieve proper torq on the bolts without bending the lower plates.

Looking for any input suggestions - what you did on your ride.

Thx

I used 2"x1" rectangular steel as a 1" lowering block and some 1" square solid aluminum as the bushing. Had the same issue as you years ago and used washers back then as a fix.
