http://s1269.beta.photobucket.com/user/codegreenss/library/In the beginning god :ie chevrolet created the 1967 chevy 2 nova ss. Fast foward to the mid 1990's and i come into the picture. two years of searching neighborhoods, rural hwys, etc brings me to the turkey rod run in daytona beach, fl where i found this driver.New the second i saw this one it was all there, drove this on weekends for a year, took it to a super chevy show won runner up in class, at that point i hadent touched anything yet .That year i parked the time capsule in my garage . Car was bought with intentions of building an all out pro street car. I JUST COULDNT DO IT. It was just to clean to cut. years went by, skooter got built, bikes got rode ,my 1940 ford coupe got sold and i still owned my nova, just waiting paciently for me to get back to her. Well the time has come to make changes. Went out to sema for vacation last year with friends and had a blast. Always loved it out there and the show was all i needed to get my arse in gear again. Came back from there and told myself my little duece would sit no more. Recently had tickets given to me from friends of ours for the columbus good guys show while we were on vacation in ohio. Another awesome show to attend. spoke briefly with church brothers saw the new rear four link setup in the wagon ,nice. Some really nice members rides in booth area. A lot of really nice novas at show along with really hot sunny weather. Wish i had more time to talk with everyone at booth but time constraints limited that, had to keep moving to see it all in a day. Just a few teaser pictures of my little duece this time before real fun begins. stop back occasionally for updates of build

Looks to be in great condition. Much more unique as-is than making it into a pro-street, pro-touring, etc etc.
I know it's all about to each his own, but why in the world would you want to mess with that car????
Maybe put in a bolt-in front clip or some CBR front end stuff, but for crying out loud don't cut that car up to do mods!

:Djust dropped new sodablast pics in photobucket link in start of thread

from soda to primer eye candy

heres some pics of my nova in the booth getting epoxy primed before any metal work has been started. the only areas that are in need of metal work to bring body back to cherry are a corner on drivers door inner corner frame , a dime size rust spot in rt fender lower . in the early 1980's origional owner had car color sanded and refinished at that time i believe he had some very minor rust repair work done around rear window . I found 5 one inch square solid metal patchs installed. sorry about size on pics still getting familiar with how to post pics CHOP CHOP

 ouch I would never cut up an original SS like that. Coulda sold it and bought a 400 model or something. An orignal numbers matching SS brings bucks its only original once..

But its your car have fun with it! Look forward to seeing more.

If it was also L79 I'm gonna have a heart attack tho.

Thank you....I really like them too!!Can't wait to see yours done....its gonna be like a brand new nova!!!
yell ive had a lotta time to stash some hot rod parts over the years waiting to do this one. i did notice that you responded to a thread that i started on (color on a 67 ) a while back too.thanks to you and a few others, was hoping that id get more responce to what peoples opinions were on that question
Wow, you have bigger cahones then me, i've barely decided to take the plunge and build my 3rd gen the way I WANT TO, and not just restore it, and mine has already been altered by the previous owner. (Was originally a IL6, now has a 350) You have a perfect SS on your hands and i commend you for doing what YOU WANT. In the end, that's all that matters.

Keep us posted, i can't wait to see how she turns out!!
