OK, I've done the BRP ('98 Camaro) brake upgrade to my '73 Nova.
The car started as a bone stock Drum NON-Power Brake setup.
Now with the LS brakes, it appears they are going to "rub" or be too tight all the time.
The real question is: Do I need to replace my MC for disk brakes, or might I get by with the old MC for the time being?
I'm eventually replacing it all, but a bit at a time as it's getting too cold to work.
Is there a proportioning valve is should remove or some trick I should know about? Anybody done this?

Drum brakes employ a residual valve in the system. It maintains a few pounds in the wheel cylinders to keep the shoes out near the drums. This may be causing the drag on your discs. You would want to get a combination valve from a disc/drum system and a disc/drum m/c.
