i have a pretty stout 383 small block and i was told to use one side of the valve cover for oil fill and the other for a breather do you guys think this is ok or do you think i should go a different root thanks for any advice im not to schooled on this issue

You should run a PCV on one side and a breather on the other. If you want to fill it through the valve covers you can always take the breather out and fill it there.
