Not on the Nova but have a question. What is the checking method for roughness on a disc brake rotor?. Pads are not worn down, just looks like the pattern of the metal particles in the pad match the rotors
Just don't want to be took to the cleaners by dealer:)

Youre saying the metal particles have cut grooves into the rotor? :confused: :eek: Or am I missin somethin here?

Well that is what it looks like. Pretty smooth lines that are uniform around the surface. It is not the look that would happen if the pads wore too much and started eating in the rotor. If you look at the pads they do have metal looking particles imbedded in them and the new ones have the same look.
It is not a rough surface just a lot of lines pretty uniform in the surface.
I tried the drag a dime across and it don't seem to hang -just slides across.
I guess what I mean is they are not completly smooth like a piece of glass.
