I have a 63 with fender well headers and installed a front disc brake kit, i relocated the per portion valve in front of the shock tower because it doesent fit under the master and i also relocated both t blocks to get them away from the headers, but the rear line on the master is 5/8 of an inch away from the header and there is no getting around it, is that to close? Will the heat boil the dot 4 brake fluid or is it fine, i do have jet hot coated headers! I was also thinking of running som fire sleeve thats good to 500degrees indirect heat on the brake line, what do you guys think?

i agree with the upper two posts, the heat shield and the sleeve will keep things from the heat,i run fender headers on my car for years,it will boil the fluid, long idleing, stop and go traffic with no airflow is the culprit,do it and be safe, dont forget the line under the headers also,by the brass t blocks
