That is so tragic, prayers for his family & friends. Reminds us of how dangerous drag racing can be.

He struck a guard rail. A early exit just passed the finish line. The end of the guard rail cutting the car into pieces.

Part of the car hit a some parked vehicles.

Lot's of rumor of what caused the car to go out of control.

He died in the helicopter while in route to hospital.

Track had no EMS on site. (rumor)

I stopped by Brown's today, and he was at the track teching the cars. He said someone taping the race said it seemed the left tie rod had broken, and sent the car out of control hitting the guardrail, and flipping over and hitting a parked motorhome, and did a ton of damage to it. The vol. fire dept. is less than a mile from the track, and was there before the track officals got to Bobby's car. He had all of the nesserary saftey equipment on, and installed in the car. It was just a freak thing that happened, I was told that the track is already making plans to do away with the first turn off, and extend the guard rail. We run 1/8 mile around here so the cars are hauling AZZ at the finnish line, so any safety measure we can take...we will. R.I.P. Bobby.
